With over 20 years of experience in the industry, she has held various leadership roles at prestigious hotels like the Caribe Hilton, Loews Hotels, and W Hotels.
A Turning Point
Hurricane Maria, a devastating natural disaster, swept through Puerto Rico in 2017, leaving Carilyn's life in ruins. Forced to relocate to Orlando, Florida, she faced significant financial challenges. Determined to regain control of her financial future, she decided to take matters into her own hands.
The Path to Financial Independence
Inspired by the FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) movement and Warren Buffett's investment philosophy, Carilyn developed a comprehensive financial plan. She immersed herself in books, courses, and online resources, gaining a deep understanding of investing, budgeting, and wealth building.
In just three years, Carilyn achieved her goal of financial independence. She successfully navigated the stock market, built a diversified investment portfolio, and generated a substantial portion of her income through passive investments.
